I predict that the use of private clouds will increase demand for colocation services as companies want to quickly build infrastructure without the added complexity and risk of tying all the components together in a modernized data center.

While colocation providers address many of the challenges of running a data center, there are gaps in two areas: visibility and control. Critical applications run in the facility, and when a problem occurs, IT professionals need to see what’s going on and have the right information to act quickly and fix the problem.
